You may want to look into the lemmit.online instance, it mirrors reddit content here and may already mirror the comms you’re looking for. Like another commenter said tho, many people have defederated or blocked it because a lot of us use the fediverse rather than reddit for a reason - so don’t be too surprised if you get a similar response.

I’m also not a fan of just mirroring reddit, but BAPC sales is one of the very few types of subreddit I can see being useful to mirror since it basically exists to be an rss feed and comments don’t provide as much value as usual. If you focus on comms like that maybe your instance would be less likely to be blocked?

Real answer: the hole is because breathing moist air thru the fabric freezes it to your face in cold weather and becomes pretty unpleasant pretty quick. The first pic is close to how you’re intended to wear it, so that your breath goes out the hole and keeps the mask dry and warm. These masks are so much nicer to use in cold + dry environments when you’re getting exercise than the old style without the hole

I wonder if the empty piefed.zip modlog is a lemmy/piefed federation issue then? The user account I’m looking at to test this has many mod actions going back years on the .world side, but none at all on piefed.zip. Meanwhile on lemmy.zip, many (but not all) of the .world mod actions are federated so something does seem to be fucky between the lemmy/piefed modlogs.

Either way, there seems to be at least one aspect of the modlog federation that’s very unclear (at least to me) which is why I was hoping someone with more knowledge of it could give a general overview of how it all works lol

One value that really shapes most of my other beliefs is that my moral system should be internally consistent. It’s caused me to try to consciously rethink all of my beliefs and values, and discard or refine any that are inconsistent and add others that were missing.

I don’t really think I’ll ever get to a point of all my beliefs being conscious ones and all my values being objective, that’s not really my aim (or even realistic imo), but it’s changed a lot about how I act and view right and wrong and it’s a process I don’t plan on ever stopping.

Then maybe you shouldn’t be teaching middle school???
