Your superpower is math. Your weakness is that it only applies to orgies.

The Federation shall hear of this.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you had millions to spend on positive change in your local community / area, what would you spend it on?
12·27 days agoHow many millions do you think it takes to change the government until you run out and how does this scenario address the question we’re supposed to be answering?
EDIT: I like how you shifted the goalposts and suddenly they all have families that love them and that makes them anll unwilling to move to a better location.
In that vein, I’d like to also present some shifted goalposts: They love love love the idea of free housing in a tropical place with no government to harass or kill them and they can live in peace until they choose to move back. Right now they’re drinking fresh coconuts and talking about how all the people that love them are living with them.

13·27 days agoMy reluctance to have them stay in the United States is based on the fact that the government can and will fuck with them for existing.
You immediately assuming my suggestion is dehumanizing is concerning but what else is there to expect when negativity is what runs the internet?
Go ahead and skip to the personal attacks so I can block you already.

11·27 days agoBrother, anywhere is better than this fascist hellscape. At least if no one from the government knows you exist they won’t come abduct you or kill you or tax you for living.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•I am an American. I used to be proud of my country. Now it feels like a turd circling the drain. Is there anything going on behind the scene that America is actually doing good in?
13·27 days agoI could counter that it’s all taxpayer founded and I’d be right to some extent.

Get all the homeless passports and a home with a garden in a third world country.
Build a community there so they can help each other and become self-sustaining.

4·27 days agoThis sentiment gives me the most hope. I’ve long held the sentiment that a great prolonged pain is what we all needed to break the cycle.
I don’t want it to end so soon or we’ll fall yet again into old habits. Then we would’ve learnt nothing.
Let the modern PedoNazis keep pushing the knife so the right people feel the pain and finally also understand the consequences of stupidity in voting. The conservative voter is incapable of empathy and understands nothing else but personal suffering.

Similarly, playing games in VR and just being able to pick up items and move them realistically.
What would you choose for a better title?
I’m thinking something simple but more directly alluding to the film. Maybe something like Jungle.
Sorcerer is one I learned about late last year and ended up finding on disc.
The bridge scene alone is worth price of entry but the rest of the film just drips atmosphere.
If I were to have ever lived in South America I’d probably say this was the most accurate representation of that time and place I’ve ever seen committed to film.
The beginning, while important to the story, was a bit too long for me.
I had the same experience and realized that Director’s Cuts can ruin movies.
Agreed. However, this is important: Stay the hell away from the Director’s Cut. It changes and ruins the movie in every conceivable way.
Because we should never forget, here is mine in response to any news about Tesla:
